Too Young to Lose

Kelley, Mark (journalist). Weinstein, Tamar (director). Fortune, Lynette (producer). Ayotte-Thompson, Brigitte (production coordinator). Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Added Author). Journalist: Kelley, Mark. (Cast).

Summary: This documentary from CBC's The Fifth Estate tells the story of four young Edmonton women who became ensnared in the sex trade, singled out and exploited by pimps preying upon their vulnerability. Mark Kelley sat down with these young women to find out how they were recruited and groomed for the sex trade. The Fifth Estate also spoke with police and with community and outreach workers who race against time, trying to prevent young girls from becoming the next murdered or missing women. Kelley followed Det. Dave Schening, a vice cop with the Edmonton Police Service, during one undercover operation to help girls being trafficked online.
