Up in Smoke : Australia Repeals Carbon Tax

Summary: Tony Abbott's Australian government has made good on his big election promise. They've scrapped a controversial carbon tax that had once been hailed as a progressive way to combat climate change. This makes Australia the first developed nation to implement and then scrap a tax. Many environmentalists in Australia had hoped Mr. Abbott's election promise to repeal the tax wasn't worth the CO2 he used to promote it. John Connor is one such environmentalist. He's the CEO of Australia's Climate Institute.
