Summary: With wind speeds gusting over 300 km/hour, it was the strongest typhoon to ever make landfall. Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines in November 2013 leaving a wake of death and devastation. More than 6,000 people were killed and as many as 10 million were left scrambling for food, water and a place to live.
