The Big Prize : Alberta's Coalbed Methane October 2003

Summary: There’s a growing demand in North America for natural gas, but the supply is dwindling. Now some Canadian companies want to exploit the unused methane that lies trapped in Alberta’s buried coal beds. It’s been done for years south of the border in Wyoming, but farmers and ranchers there have long complained about what it’s done to their land, and they’re warning Albertans not to make the same mistake.
