On the Rocks : A B.C. Ferry Sinks May 2006

Summary: In late March 2006 a giant passenger ferry hit a rock and sank near the small fishing village of Hartley Bay in British Columbia. Two people died when Queen of the North went down in the dead of the night. But more than 100 others were rescued and given shelter by the people of Hartley Bay. In this News in Review story we'll look at that amazing rescue. We'll also examine what might have caused the ferry to stray off course and run aground.
