Summary: In late August 2005, Hurricane Katrina slammed into New Orleans and caused catastrophic flooding. More than 1,300 people were killed while hundreds of thousands of others were forced to leave their homes. In this News in Review story we’ll look at what happened to New Orleans through the eyes of two Canadians who were there when the hurricane struck. And we’ll show you how they returned to New Orleans six months later to thank a family for saving their lives.
