Summary: On August 22, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York, a bisexual robs a bank so his homosexual lover can get a sex change operation. The robbery was supposed to take 10 minutes, ends up being 12 hours and turns into a bizarre hostage situation with a resulting media circus.
