Republic in Peril : The Storming of the U.S. Capitol February 2021

Summary: On January 6, 2021, an angry mob of rioters, incited by the President of the United States, stormed the Capitol Building in Washington D.C. and smashed their way in. Hundreds of these insurgents looted the building, threatened politicians and took selfies. Five people died as a result, including one rioter and a police officer. President Donald Trump would stand accused of inciting the riot and be impeached for a second time. All this while Congress was confirming the votes of the Electoral College from the 2020 presidential election. An election that would confirm Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States.
