COP26 : A Crucial Climate Summit December 2021

Summary: Billed as the last, best hope to tackle the world’s climate crisis, the UN climate change conference, COP26, got underway in Glasgow, Scotland, in November 2021. Attended by 200 countries, it was seen as the most significant climate event since the 2015 Paris Agreement was reached. It was there that members agreed to cap global warming to a maximum of 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. But there’s a greater urgency this year with the world on the brink of climate disaster by the end of the century.
