Summary: A documentary that recreates, re-examines and rethinks an important chapter of Canadian history with respect to the contributions of the Chinese railroad workers in building the Canadian Pacific Railway. It describes the immigration of these workers, their working conditions, and their social integration into British Columbia society. As well, it explores the role of the descendants of these workers in politics, the economy and culture of Canada's multi-ethnic society.
